FTP-based data synchronizations are not available by default (additional charges will apply), contact your account manager to receive a quotation.

In order to have a data synchronization set up, you need to have an active MailUp account (not a free trial).

In case you need any further information or custom integrations, please do not hesitate to contact your sales representative.

This export type displays the unsubscribed recipients in a certain time frame and belonging to one or more Mailup lists.

The eventual layout is partly configurable.

What data is to be included in the report

The CSV report encloses the following data related to the unsubscribed recipients.

You can set the instance to generate reports that contains one or more of the following data except for the unsubscribed email address, which is a required value that will always be included and displayed in the first column of the report


Header Display Name





unsubscribed email address

MobilePhone NumberThe phone number related to the unsubscribed email address

MailUp list id


Unique identifier of the MailUp list from which the email address has unsubscribed


Unsubscribe date


Date and time when the email address has been unsubscribed from the MailUp list 


Registration DateSubscription DateDate and time when the email address completed the subscription to the  MailUp list20210121T141244

Message id from which unsubscribe occurred


Unique identifier of the MailUp newsletter from which the recipient has clicked the unsubscription link.
This field is meaningful only in case of voluntary unsubscription


Reason for unsubscribing


Unsubscription type (manual, automatic, bounce ecc.). 

Possible values are:

0 = User forced optout through the MailUp admin console
01 = User forced optout through the MailUp admin console
2 = recipient clicked on the unsubscription link
4 = imported as unsubscribed
8 = hard bounce 
16= feedback loop (spam notification) 
32,64 = newsletter (unsubscribe header)
41 = imported as unsubscribed
128 = Inactive recipients
256 = unsubscribed due to blocked email (possible causes are: Blocked by destination MTA or SPAM content or Configuration problem on destination MTA)
512 = unsubscribed due to repeated transient bounce
1024 = unsubscribed due to right to oblivion


MailUp Group idGroups

Any unique identifier of the MailUp Groups to which the recipient is assigned to at the time of export.

In case of multiple values, expect a string value separated by comma

Recipient fields 
Data saved in the recipients personal data fields. Any or all of these fields can be part of the report


It is required to export MailUp list idUnsubscribe date and Reason for unsubscribing for each unsubscribed recipient

It is required to export MailUp list idUnsubscribe dateReason for unsubscribing, Message id from which unsubscribe occurred and one recipient field for each unsubscribed recipient.
In this example in your business logic you have configured MailUp to use the field 28 to save the customer code defined by your CRM, and you need this data in the report generated by this Instance of the Datasync (S)FTP Export.

Environments and export timeframe

You can define which MailUp lists you want to extract data from and the extraction period.

Extraction period is the timeframe which the report refers.
Usually you can configure an Instance to generate report containing:

  • all new unsubscribers from the last 24 hours for the desired MailUp lists
  • all new unsubscribers that happened from the last export executed for the desired MailUp lists
  • all unsubscribers in the MailUp for the desired MailUp lists
